Yesterday I received a handwritten letter from my grandma who just celebrated her 80th birthday on January 7th. She of course had also included a flyer for something she thought I’d be interested in and talked about all the cold and snow and the Steelers going to the SuperBowl. All the while I was thinking how eloquent and perfect her writing was and if I wrote her back, I would probably have scribbled out words or gone through several pages to get it perfect, so calling would probably be an easier response. Then, at the end of her lovely letter she wrote “P.S. Writing a letter is a lost art.”
