I don’t believe in coincidences…
Last night’s sunset on the farm. How lovely.
My proud papa from earlier today after helping me start my first vegetable garden! Broccoli, onions, beets, carrots, snow peas, arugula, lettuce, and spinach are hopefully on their way! That is, of course, if I can keep the critters away. Dad offered me his 22, but I think I’ll try a fence first…
Americans are clamoring for affordable, locally produced food that’s better for our health and the environment (and tastier too!). A new bill that would make more organic and locally produced food available in our schools, grocery stores and restaurants has just been introduced! U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) and Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio)’s Local Farms, Food and Jobs Act aims to help local family farmers who use sustainable practices compete with bigger, better-financed agricultural conglomerates.
This bill will face a tough fight. Tell Congress that you and your family want more healthy, local food today!

FARMAGEDDON is coming!
